Jeremy Whitesell, Professional Investigator/LPI
Jeremy Whitesell graduated with a Bachelors degree in business management with a focus in human resources from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. There, he studied courses in employment law, business law, and human resource management. Jeremy was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and co-founded the 300th national chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. He also received a certification in telecommunications from York Technical College in Rock Hill.
After college, Investigator Whitesell traveled to Washington, DC where he received training and began the certification process for computer forensic examination, ethical hacking, and penetration testing. After completing these programs, Jeremy acquired the following computer related certifications: CompTia A+, CompTia Network+, InfoSec CCFE (Certified Computer Forensic Examiner), and CHFI (Certified Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator). CCFE and CHFI are recognized by the EC-Council, an international council of e-commerce consultants. Jeremy has since been recognized in court as an expert witness in digital (mobile device) forensics.
In 2012, Jeremy became an owner/partner in a large investigation company outside of Charlotte, NC. There, he managed investigators working on divorce and marital, child custody, criminal defense, personal injury, missing persons, asset location, computer and cell phone forensics, and background check cases. During this time, he was responsible for opening a successful computer forensic division with an onsite lab serving York, Chester, and Lancaster counties in South Carolina. Jeremy maintained ownership in this firm until 2015 when he sold his interest and opened Whitesell Investigative Services, Inc. (WiS) in Rock Hill.
Jeremy is a licensed private investigator through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. He is currently a member of SCPDIA (South Carolina Public Defenders Investigator Association), SCALI (South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators), NAPPS (National Association of Professional Process Servers), and NCAPPS (North Carolina Association of Professional Process Servers).
